I took me quite a while to finish this in audiobook form. I am positive that if I had read it I would have finished this book not too long after I had started it. This book was depressing and gave me chills. For the first few hours I couldn't get enough of it and was engrossed into finding out more about Snowman and Crake and Oryx through Snowman's flashbacks. After that I had trouble getting back into the book yet it wasn't the fault of the subject matter or the writing but mostly the voice of the reader was grating on me. Since I have lots of time and limited books to read I decided to finish this and I am glad I did. I do like dystopic literature and this one hit it's intended mark well.

I am a voracious reader and I love to immerse myself in the pages of a good fantasy/sci-fi book. After many years of happily reading and reviewing books on Goodreads I deciding if I want to jump ship due to the mass changes from it's new owners.
